We’re delighted to offer a limited number of fully funded bursary places exclusively for resident doctors working within NHS trusts.
Winner of the HSJ "Workforce & Wellbeing Initiative of the Year 2025", Braver than Before® is our transformative leadership programme focused on speaking up, practising smart risk-taking and self-compassion, and increasing wellbeing.
This unique opportunity is designed to support your leadership development, confidence, and wellbeing as you continue to make a vital contribution to the NHS.
Programme Benefits
Spanning 4.5 months, Braver than Before ® includes six live 2.5-hour modules and three live 90-minute group coaching sessions. The total time commitment is around 8 hours per month, or approximately 32 hours in total.
During the programme, you will learn how to:
Find your voice and learn to speak up
Practise self-compassion
Overcome perfectionism and fear of judgement
Take more smart risks
Deepen resilience and wellbeing
Challenge in the moment and have braver conversations
Manage imposter syndrome
Develop greater self-confidence

Meet Dr. Mehran Maanoosi, Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine and Stroke, and Braver than Before ® participant. For Dr. Maanoosi, leadership was once about providing direction, until realising its true power lies in compassion.

Notification date: Applicants will be informed of the outcome by Friday, 6 February 2026, so you have time to plan your rota.
Sponsor sign-off required: Your application is not complete until your Chief Medical Officer, Chief People Officer, or Director of Medical Education approves it. By submitting this form, you authorise us to contact your sponsor directly to confirm support.
